River City Internet Group deploys VoIP with large Asterisk™ PBX implementation.

09-26-2005 - St. Louis, MO

River City Internet Group today announced that successful inbound and outbound phones calls completed acceptance testing of an Asterisk tm open source PBX that it implemented to support over 50 seats. IntraISP, a wholly owned business unit of River City Internet Group, required additional space for an expanding group of programmers and recently moved into new office space in Creve Coeur. In order to meet an aggressive move-in schedule, coupled with advanced telephony demands, IntraISP chose to merge voice and data with the Linux based Asterisk tm PBX installed and maintained by Primary Network.. "By deploying VoIP a solution we are able to deliver unified messaging and advanced personalized call routing on a common, cost effective, data network.." said Doug Reineri, COO of River City Internet Group. "We also expect to see a significantly lower total cost of ownership because we can administer our own moves, adds, and changes (MACs)." Reineri furthered. Primary Network has been installing, maintaining and supporting data and voice solutions since 1999. Primary's complete Asterisk IP-PBX packages for 5 to 50 users are available with a rack mount server and feature rich SNOM phones. According to Network World magazine, IP PBXs currently outsell traditional circuit based PBX's and that within four years, 90% of all PBX's sold will be VoIP.
